even before the fabia comes to india this january, i cant believe i actually saw it. had been to bangalore...looks stunning..broad rear..huge tyres..killer looks..all the pulse-racing stuff that a car should have..

cant wait to lay my hands on it..sounds cliche but thats how it is..

Re: on my way back from from bangalore..

You should have titled this thread as "Fabia Spotted in Bangalore" or something...that wud have been so appropriate man!!

You would have had people pouring from all ends asking you what it was like (which i assume is gonna happen anyways now)...rite?

I'm sure you can't stop telling the world about your latest scoop...i mean y not...if i was you...i wud go scream my lungs out!!

Skoda has for sure really hyped the launch of the Fabia in India...overhyped wud be a better word actually...but i'm sure its worth every bit of it.

Re: on my way back from from bangalore..
quite a large car for a hatchback. large headlamps. big broad tyres. i am told the legroom is more than the octavia. plenty of room not just to the driver and front seat passenger, but also passengers in the rear. and with the sun roof (YES. . there is a sun roof) it looks even more spacious.

    HIGHLIGHTS:
three petrol and three diesel engines
six-speed automatic transmission with tiptronic function available
adjustable steering wheel(in height and length)
six airbags for safety of the occupants
    ABS with brake assistant available
projector halogen headlights with curve lighting function
    electronically controled air conditioning Climatronic
    integrated six-fold CD changer
    cruise control
navigation system with dynamic trip management

    on-board computer

climate controlled dual illuminate GLOVE comparment

Re: on my way back from from bangalore..

You gotta be kidding me...you've probably just listed down the features that Skoda gives away in the Laura.

Even though these could be the specs on the high-end model, all i know is that this car won't come cheap!!

Re: on my way back from from bangalore..

see..its priced at 7.5 but isnt that justified?

you are yourself saying that i have just listed down the features of the laura...but the way people are thinking..they(skoda) are indeed gonna face a lot of problems in convincin people to buy a hatchback for that much..i am getting myself one though..

Re: on my way back from from bangalore..

At 7.5 lakhs you have options like the Honda City & the SX4..so i doubt if the petrol version will do that well.

But since therz really no amazing diesel car in that price range except the Fiesta Duratorq, i'm sure that the diesel variant is gonna sell like Hot Pancakes!

With those kinda features & the economy of a diesel engine the Fabia would be a steal @ 7.5 lakhs.

And if i'm not wrong their diesel variant is powered by a 1.4L 80bhp TDi engine...rite?

Thats even more horsepower than what the 1.4L Fiesta is equipped with. Now that should be to the delight of every Skoda car lover (keeping in mind that the Skoda Octavia's 1.9L TDi engine gushes out a 90bhp). So in simple words, more power = exhilarating performance = a big smile on every proud owner of the Fabia!
