    Is the Spark an exception?

I've actually happened to drive my friend's spark a million times by now. I completely happen to love this car. Its just such a pleasure to drive - really peppy for its 1.0L 63bhp engine, fairly decent average (13 kmpl is what my friend is getting in the city with the A/C on), sturdy suspension & that center console speed-o-meter totally makes it stand apart from the rest of its competitors.

Anyways getting to the point for some reason this car really doesn't feel all that American which are generally characterized for their strong build quality - as in you feel safe being inside them. I've started having doubts if it really belongs to the GM family (look at the Optra, the Aveo - they're all such sturdy cars). The spark just feels so light as compared to the other cars in the GM stable. It feels like a breeze over 80 km/hr. I at times feel a little unsafe in it. The braking also could have been a little more responsive. For some reason i feel like Gm's compromised on the build quality on this one.

Has anyone of you felt like this while driving the Spark?

I dunno if i'm the only one who feels like this...thats the reason i'm spilling my heart out in front of you guys to let me know if its just me!

The spark is a great car to drive, its just that it lacks the same heavy build quality ie a trademark of all cars in the Chevrolet stable. But maybe that is because its a small car.

Its probably the only car that came up with the concept of the speed-o-meter on top of the centre console (which is now also being seen in the Nano's interiors). Does that make Tata a copycat?
