With the unveiling of the Nano Maruti has slashed the prices of the 800 drastically.Do you guys think that Nano will take over the Maruti 800 market completely?

There is no second doubt about that in my mind. When people would be getting a car that is as equipped to handle the Indian roads as the Maruti 800 with probably more seating space inside & that too at nearly half the price, then only a fanatic Maruti lover will go buy the 800, no1 else!!

The Nano any day sports a more fuel efficient engine that will churn out great mileage figures of around 20-22 km/l in the city. That would also go in its favour because people buying a car in this bracket will definitely be very concerned about their petrol bills for sure. 

Now i definitely think it will kill the Maruti 800. Considering  that the Nano is half the price
 

 Not only is the Nano half the price,it is the lowest possible anyone can go in that market.Would love to see maruti outdo that one.

 Hahaha i doubt anyone will be able to better that and even if they do i wonder what kind of car they will come up with or if that car will even work.

 There is only one way to better the Nano-Lawnmower engine and four wheels

 Haha and that would not be able to carry even 1 person properly. I think there is no way to better the Nano. Nano is truly one of a kind car.

 Even if anyone tried they would fail miserably and embarrass themselves. The Nano is a Master Piece.

You are right Sinha & may be possible fuel prices will be high more in future by this type of vehicles. In second thing you can say this is only bike but it would be covered plus trolley type two seats for rear. I am sure it will not be success in India because it has more problems like safety, mileage, luggage, Interior space, etc.
