Maruti hikes prices on all its models - is it justified?

While all car manufacturers in India are gunning for even more competitive prices, Maruti with more than half the stake in the Indian automotive industry has recently hiked prices in the range of 1,000 to 11,000 on all its models.

All i wanna know is that why does Maruti get away with everything? Is it their supremacy & monopoly in the auto sector in India, or the brand & loyalty that they've build up with the consumers during their long existence in India?

I'm sure irrespective of this price hike, their cars are still gonna sell like hot pancakes. Nothing is really gonna change. Is this justified?
