Well the Swift completely goes into another league all together. Whether its the petrol variant or the diesel one. Both of them are just such wonderful cars to drive. Performance in this car is at an all time high.

But as far as the i10 goes you can't neglect the fact that its the most awarded car of the year 2008. The new iRDe technology by Hyundai is believed to be giving much improved mileage figures. And the car seems pretty much loaded with features for a small compact hatchback.

    But again how can one compare a 1.1L 66bhp engine to a 1.3L 86bhp one...i wouldn't call it a fair comparison.

I agree with sagar, I10 and Swift are two different class of car. both capacity and price wise. but in 1.1L calss i10 is the best,it not what i am saying as a user but the quality says. this you can judge from the market. You buy a swift today and try to sell it after 1 year , how much you will get and compare the same to i10 you will know. The same thing is for all maruti cars against Hyundai.

Specially for tall people this car is the best with the tiltable steering wheel and seat.

Yes you can say by Displacement & Engine wise but those are not different class of cars because when you are going to compare both by Dimensions, body style, features, comfort, mileage, engine, popularity, market value wise you will get swift is great car & any model can’t beat it any way. It has also got the best selling car award, and if anybody wants to sell it after a long time use I am sure he gets unbelievable response soon by buyers so please keep positive thinking about Maruti Swift.  And again i10 is a comparative car of swift no doubt please look at the below link: Comparison of Swift ZXI with i10 Magna(O).

Exterior - i10 is better than swift

Interior - swift is better than i10

Mileage - i10 is better than swift

Parking Space - i10 is better than swift (based on Delhi scenario)

That sounds really funny. Basically both cars are equally good but i would like to go with Swift because the handling of car is to smooth, and good to prefer. talking about the grip and handling the fiesta 1.6S  is quite good.

According to me swift is a great car then Hyundai i10 .It has a good look, good interior and of course fuel efficient car.Hyundai i10 is also a good car but in comparison with maruti swift , i would prefer maruti swift.

Re: is i10 good comparative too swift ?

As far as looks of the two cars are concerned  Swift outreaches i10 but if we talk about fuel efficiency and mileage terms i10 sets Swift behind in every aspect. And to make the matter more to its side Hyundai India has recently rolled out a new engine called kappa for its highly revenue mustering i10, which claims to have 14% more fuel efficient than its predecessor. This kappa has been fitted in 7 variants of i10 which alongside also exhibit the power of Automatic transmission. With this new engine Hyundai has heralded the automatic version of its popular hatchback i10 as well. Now if we speak about aesthetics the i10 has been conferred on with Rear Spoiler for its Sportz variant and one can avail its sun roof flaunting variant as well. So, by and large i don't think the i10 has left any room for its rival Swift in any manner
