Volkswagen seems to have decided on a 1.2L petrol and 1.6L petrol and diesel version of the Polo to come to India by April 2010. The car will be made available in hatchback and notchback makes.

While the company spokesperson said that the car was currently under construction in Germany, he also suggested that the Polo sixth-generation might be brought to India.
