Mahindra Intertrade inaugurates an Aanganwadi in Nashik

Nashik, November 07, 2008: Mahindra Intertrade, a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., today announced the opening of an Aanganwadi on a 6,000 sq. ft plot of land at Gonde Village, Taluka Igatpuri, Nashik.
The facility was inaugurated by Mr. Shekhar Gaikwad, Additional Dist. Collector, Nashik. Mr. B.B. Waugh Chief Officer, Zilla Parishad, Nashik was the Chief Guest at the function. Mr. Harsh Kumar, Managing Director, Mahindra Intertrade, unveiled the commemorative plaque.
“Mahindra Intertrade shares a common destiny with its stakeholders. We will continue to invest in the future of the villages contiguous to our production facilities, and contribute to society, under our ESOPs initiatives in areas such as education, health, sanitation, social welfare and environment” said Mr. Harsh Kumar, Managing Director, Mahindra Intertrade, at the inauguration.
The Aanganwadi is an educational and recreational area, which is equipped with classroom facilities and toys. It provides a conducive environment for local village children in the age group of 4 to 6 years which makes education an enjoyable experience.
Mahindra Intertrade built this Aanganwadi on the request of the Gonde Grampanchayat. The Anganwadi is built on a 6,000 sq. ft plot of land allotted by the Grampanchayat at a cost of Rs. 8.50 lakhs.
