HM-MITSUBISHI INAUGURATES ITS FIRST 'AUTODROME' IN MUMBAI

Mitsubishi Motors & Hindustan Motors have scaled up their operations in Mumbai by opening two new showrooms in the city on Wednesday. The company inaugurated their new showroom christened 'Autodrome' in Malad and Metro Motor's second showroom in Sanpada area of Navi Mumbai.

These showrooms were inaugurated by Mr. Y.V.S Vijay Kumar, Vice- President and SBU Head, Hindustan Motors Ltd., Chennai Car Plant in the presence of senior company officials. Autodrome and Metro Motors - Sanpada will offer world-class experience to Mitsubishi customers in Mumbai as well as Navi Mumbai. Through these new showrooms Mitsubishi Motors' entire product range of Lancer, Cedia, Pajero and Montero will be showcased.


Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Y.V.S Vijay Kumar said, "It's a significant day for us as we have inaugurated two state-of-the-art showrooms in a single day in the commercial capital of India. This demonstrates our commitment to the Indian market and we would like to strengthen our position in Mumbai. We are taking several initiatives to gratify our customers and these showrooms are one of the many such initiatives taken by us".

Autodrome, situated in one of the main business districts of Mumbai - Malad, is the first of such kind of Mitsubishi showrooms in India. Mumbai has a penchant for premium cars and this desire of the customers will be satiated by Autodrome from Mitsubishi Motors. For a brand like Mitsubishi, Maharashtra is an extremely important market. This year itself, we have increased the number of dealerships from 4 to 9, which includes the new set-ups at Aurangabad, Pune and Nasik.

The primary dealer of Mitsubishi Motors until now in Mumbai, Metro Motors' second showroom which was opened in Navi Mumbai will cater to the demands of Navi Mumbai customers. The dealer has high growth expectation from its second showroom in Navi Mumbai as the region's premium car market in particular has been growing at a tremendous pace and many car buyers from here and nearby cities are upgrading from smaller cars to premium cars of which Mitsubishi has a wide range to offer.

Mitsubishi has taken leadership position in the premium SUV segment in India with legendary Pajero and Dakar rally winner All New Montero doing well in its respective segments and intends to further consolidate with the launch of Outlander, the sophisticated and urban SUV scheduled to be launched later this year. The sedan offering from Mitsubishi include the Cedia which is available in petrol and ALPG versions while Lancer is currently available in petrol and diesel.

The pricing of Mitsubishi products begins with Rs.7.10 lakhs for Lancer, Rs. 8.75 lakhs for Cedia, Rs. 19.74 lakhs for Pajero and Rs. 35.80 lakhs for Montero.
