SkodaIndia sells 1704 units in June 2008

SkodaIndia, a fully owned subsidiary of SkodaAuto a.s. Czech Republic (Volkswagen Group), one of the fastest growing car manufacturers in Europe, today announced that the company has achieved sales of 1704 units in June 2008. With this figure SkodaIndia registered 69% growth in sales as compared to 1008 units sold in June 2007.
Commenting on the growth, Mr. Thomas Kuehl (Member, Board of Directors (Sales & Marketing) said, “The automobile market in India is on an upswing and we are proud to be the forerunners in this market. With 69% growth in sales in June 2008 as compared to June 2007, SkodaIndia?s success story continues with the Fabia being well accepted in the Indian market.”
The sales figure includes 659 units of India?s first Super hatch SkodaFabia.
