Ratan Tata, Chairman, Tata Motors visits the Volkswagen pavilion

While visiting the Volkswagen pavilion, Mr Ratan Tata was welcomed by Mr Joerg Mueller, President of Volkswagen India and Mr Andreas Prinz, Managing Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India and had discussion about the range of vehicles on show. This included the new Volkswagen Up! concept car as well as the Passat, Jetta and Phaeton also debuting in India.

Volkswagen is laying the foundation for a major model offensive in India at this year’s Auto Expo to establish its presence on the market. “Considering the potential of our small car here, we feel that the Up! is ideal for the domestic market.” said Mr Joerg Mueller.
