Over 1,000 school children gathered at Sarojamma Sri Chikka Thimmaiah Kalyana Mantapa, Bidadi to participate in a drawing competition and an exciting quiz contest in a day-long event today. While children in primary school (standards 1 to 4), let their imagination go wild on Parisara or Nature, children from secondary school (Standard 5 to 7) worked on a more thought provoking theme of ‘Parisara Malinya’ (environment Pollution). While the entries received from the tiny tots were heart warming in their images of beauty and play of colour, the entries of the older children reflected the increasing consciousness about nature’s abuse and its ramifications.
The entries were judged by members of the Artisans’ Training Institute K P J Karakushala Tarabeti Samsthe. There were three prize winners in each category. (List of prize winners is attached)
The afternoon was dedicated to an exciting quiz contest on environment for high school students (standard 8 to 10).
