Skoda Auto India reaches out to young enthusiasts - participates in knowledge seminar for aspiring engineers at J.N.E.C

Dr. Jean Marie Lagey, Managing Director, Technical, Skoda Auto India, today addressed the students of Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College, Aurangabad at AWUT ?08. He shared his views on the current scenario and the emerging trends of the Indian Automobile industry and its impact on tomorrow’s engineering professionals.
The event proved to be a great platform for young and aspiring engin-eers to interact with Mr. Lagey. While addressing them, Mr. Lagey said, “It is a great opportunity for interaction and development of a network for learning, growing and working together towards making India a global superpower in the Automobile Industry in the not so distant future.” While sharing his experience at Skoda Auto India, he educated the students on the entire progression of the history of Skoda cars. He also shared detailed information about the core technologies used in diesel and petrol engines and the scope of development of Skoda Auto India plant in Aurangabad.
The session ended with a lively interaction between Mr. Lagey and the students where he addressed the queries of the students. For the engineers whose one career option is the Automobile Industry, Mr. Lagey’s presentation gave them a peek into the industry, and its growth potential.
The young car enthusiasts also had an opportunity to explore and examine Skoda’s fine automotive pedigree as the super hatch SkodaFabia and the flagship model SkodaSuperb that were on show to illustrate the developments traced in the lecture.
