Volvo Car India inaugurates its dealership in Mumbai
Volvo to expand its dealer network by 7-9 dealerships in 2008

Volvo Cars, arguably the world’s safest luxury car brand today inaugurated its Mumbai dealership. The dealership, Shreenath Motors Pvt. Ltd. at Plot No.626 Windsor Building, Behind Laxmi Industrial Estate, Andheri (West), Mumbai; was inaugurated by Mr. Paul de Voijs, Managing Director, Volvo Car India and Mr. Shailesh Kachalia, Managing Director, Shreenath Motors Pvt. Ltd. Spread over an area of 3500 sq ft, the dealership brings to life the Volvo brand values to the Indian customers.
Speaking on occasion Mr. Paul de Voijs, said, “With the opening of our third dealership we are now set to roll out our complete operations in India. We believe all the three dealers have the necessary capability and experience to assist us in achieving our business objectives.”
“All our dealers will incorporate Volvo’s global best practices and processes, ensuring a superior sales and service experience for our valued customers in India”, Mr. de Voijs further added.
The Volvo dealerships, designed in accordance with the brands internationally applied premium standards, present Volvo’s exclusive range to the Indian customer. All the three dealerships will have the same visual identity and design as other Volvo dealerships around the globe based on their programme - Volvo Next Face (VNF). The programme was specifically produced to create a modern and uniform appearance for Volvo’s dealers the world over.
Commenting on Volvo’s association with Shreenath Motors Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Shailesh Kachalia, Managing Director, Shreenath Motors Pvt. Ltd. said, “We are glad to be associated with Volvo Car India. We hope to provide our customers with same quality of services that Volvo customers enjoy globally.”
With the opening of Mumbai dealer, Volvo’s all three dealers have become operational in India. By end 2008, Volvo hopes to expand its dealership network by 7-9 dealers.
The Volvo S80 and the Volvo XC90 cars are available with a 24 valve 3.2 litre and 32 valve V8 4.4 litre petrol engine options and a 2.4 litre diesel (priced between Rs. 38- 46 lakhs and Rs. 45-54 lakhs respectively, ex-showroom Mumbai).
