Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire gets world’s shortest boot
The iconic new Swift has already been showcased to us, and while we also already know that the Swift Dzire is just an extended and uglier version of the Swift, we have still yet to see the car on our city streets yet. But now it is confirmed that the Dzire will be launched in Feb 2012 and we have seen some spy shots which give us a hint of what is to come. The new Swift Dzire from Maruti Suzuki will probably feature the world’s shortest boot or trunk. The car is extended but is said to be under 4 metres to evade excise duty. Because of this the car will also cost less than the present Dzire. There are other minor changes to the vehicle which we cannot see for now but will very soon. We also can tell you that the new cars will receive a 1.2 litre K-series petrol engine producing 80bhp and a 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine produced by Fiat, and that can produce 75bhp and 190Nm of torque. It will prove to be a very fuel efficient car and rumor has it that customers will also get an optional automatic transmission.
