2010 Skoda Fabia Ambiente 1.2 TDI CR Diesel, New Skoda Fabia launched....watch out..

By automate (Gurgaon) on Oct 15, 2010

With the experience of Tata Aria visit still fresh in my mind, I was in a dilemma when I was asked to visit the showroom to have a first hand experience of the new Fabia. The reason was simple-with the kind of regard I had for the old Fabia, I didn’t want to see a stripped down version and change the image I had in my mind of the first true luxury hatch in India. But, I was left with no choice and had to go to check her out. One first look at the car and I slightly felt comfortable. The car, though cheap by around 70k compared to the previous avatar, did not look as bad as I had expected. Instead, the fresh new face, with the wider peeled headlamps and bold new grille and the monstrous looking fog lamps, gave it a character, like some of its higher priced siblings. The flow lines from the sides of the bonnet gel with the upper grille so well, and looked inviting. The lower grille had also received fair amount of makeup, and with the low air dam at front, the car gave an impression of a toned up version of the old Fabia. The car length has also been increased by 8 mm and comes quite close to the line of control between a compact and an entry mid car. The height has also, gone up by 8mm, and the ground clearance by 12mm, which is…huge.

2008 Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDI Elegance, BAD PERFORMANCE AND CONTINUED POOR QUALITY MANUFACTURED UNIT

By Nanjundeswara (Bangalore) on Mar 21, 2011

Am one of the unfortunate owners, who bought the vehicle on day one. The problems are plenty amidst the poor response from corporate MNC. This Auto giant knows how to frustrate the dissatisfied client end up in selling vehicle out of disgust. 3 years of experience, 24+ visits to Garage for repairs, Rs.90000+ expenditure, Consisting ABS,Brake and other problems amidst problems of noise etc., etc., The identical response for client problems push ones to disgust state. Advise vehicle buyers to be on alert and safe guard rights We Indian clients can not be taken for a ride. Beware

2010 Skoda Fabia Elegance 1.2 MPI Petrol, Best Hatchback Car

By chaitu (Hyderabad,Andhra Pradesh) on Jun 06, 2011

No small car can make you feel special the way Skoda Fabia does. The sleek looking Fabia is the first car in India with a huge passenger and cargo space designed with premium looks. It has all the comforts and roominess of a big luxury car and at the same time it is so compact that you can drive it and park it with utmost ease in the most congested areas. Škoda Fabia combines looks with performance and economy is available in petrol and diesel variants. It packs quite a punch every time it hits the road. Take it for a spin and you will experience how special you are.

2010 Skoda Fabia Classic 1.2 MPI Petrol, Best hatchback Car

By chaitu (Hyderabad,Andhra Pradesh) on Jul 18, 2011

The Skoda Fabia offers decent riding abilities with spacious cabin and besides these it offers easy controls and functions. The Fabia is quite roomy with well equipped materials, but still it offers dull interiors. Fabia is one of the best in Skoda class with exclusive and intuitive features associated with the car. Performance:- In short we can describe the performance of the car gains decent ride but still something is missing. There is couple of ageing 1.2 L with three cylinder petrol engines, but still it requires better torque level. The other units of supercharged and turbocharged 1.6l offer 74bhp, 89bhp and 104bhp. There is complete lineup offered with fuel slipping diesel cylinders of 1.2 L. Ride and Handling The riding of the Fabia is good by handling disappoint the driver. Skoda Fabia is quite huge but by means of supermini standards and thus controlling the car on tight turns sometimes become difficult. On the patched roads the handling of Fabia get disturbs resulting poor riding facilities as well. Even, the front body of the car is lean towards these results in vague gearshift and steering problems.

2011 Skoda Fabia Elegance 1.2 MPI Petrol, Best Hatch Back on Indian Roads

The new fabia estate, the latest offering from skoda, is a delight. It provides considerably more space in the interior than other cars in its class. The occupants enjoy more space, the boot has also gained in size. The coupe-like line of the roof and the optical design of the wedge-shaped windows, give it a dynamic appearance. supplied with three petrol and three diesel engines, its well suited for a drive in the city as well as a cross-country trip. All the functions are clearly displayed, combined into groups and positioned ergonomically correctly on the dashboard or on the steering column. HIGHLIGHTS: three petrol and three diesel engines six-speed automatic transmission with tiptronic function available adjustable steering wheel(in height and length) six airbags for safety of the occupants ABS with brake assistant available projector halogen headlights with curve lighting function electronically controled air conditioning Climatronic integrated six-fold CD changer cruise control navigation system with dynamic trip management

2011 Skoda Fabia Elegance 1.6 MPI Petrol, Power House jst by paying 35k more over eleganc

By warhead (mumbai) on Nov 03, 2011

I am using this car for 1yr..cmpleting 26000 kms..At lower revs its like any other cars (i20 etc) and gives respectable milage...but incase if u want to show off same power...its effort less! Imagine 1.6litr engine in a hatch...where cars like Verna, City, Sunny etc have 1.5 lit engines..I have seen Verna n city (of my frends) trying 2 chase but cudnt keep up...they ony kept shifting gears up! that was my experice (pls dnt debate if ur City or Verna) if u love speeding go 4 this particular variant. Also, the built quality f Skoda is much higher to Hyundai i20 (tho its my favorite) If u want quality go 4 Fabia and if u want lots f gizmos on ur dashboard go 4 i20.

2012 Skoda Fabia Elegance 1.6 MPI Petrol, But for its inefficient and careless Dealers !

By Sanjeev Bhakay (Mumbai) on Mar 27, 2012

The car is simply superb - handling, power, noiselessness, feel and performance - in terms of fuel efficiency and also in terms of its road-grip, driver orientation and above all - the German design and precision in attention to detail. That said, I was a bit disappointed with the strip-down price reduction resorted to by Skoda. There was no reason to take away the rear defogger and the rear wiper. Either of them should have been retained - though they are not obviously complementary.Since the wiper cannot be fixed as an add on accessory, they should have let it be.Secondly, a bit of a let-down in terms of the music system - with just 2 speakers ! adding two more would not have cost the Earth ! Anyway, I am more than happy with its overall satisfying quotient. Less said about the Dealers the better. They almost drove me away just by their uncaring inefficient and gross handling. The Asset Auto Pvt Ltd dealers in Pune Bhandarkar Road - are not even bothered about their sales ! Manned by just about any riff-raff they could hook-up - the youngsters on the shop-floor are ignorant, misbehaved and careless. Skoda can increase their sales by de-listing this dealer.
