Honda India offers an entry level hatch in the form of the Jazz. The little big car from the Honda stable features an 1198cc petrol engine that can churn out a very healthy 90bhp and 110Nm of torque which tops most other premium hatches. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Being a Honda, the Jazz has very high fuel efficiency and a refined engine, which allows for a pleasant driving experience. The Jazz is also slightly bigger in size compared to other hatch-backs and it has a good ground clearance of 160mm as well as a strong suspension set up to tackle Indian roads. The design of the car follows a modern approach and so the Jazz falls on the safe side of looking good. It has got a longer wheelbase and therefore offers excellent comfort to all passengers. The interiors are also setup very nicely. The Jazz is a great buy and its success is evident in the more than 130 countries in which it is currently being sold.

The Honda City is the entry level mi-size sedan from Honda India. Interestingly the Honda City was the first car which Honda brought into the Indian market and its success was inevitable. Today the Honda City features an improved modern and aggressive design with state of the art interiors and technology. The Honda City is powered by a 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol unit and 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine. Once again the powerful Honda engine proves to be efficient and highly reliable, as the average fuel consumption by the Honda City is an astonishing 17.8 kmpl for petrol and 26.0kmpl for the diesel engine. Together with its good looks, pleasant interiors and unchallenged performance and ride quality, the Honda City is one of the best mid-size sedans in the Indian market today.
