The Audi Q5 is the mid size SUV available in India and it sits between the Q3 and the larger Q7. The Q5 has been in production since 2008 globally but was launched in India in 2010. The Q5 competes directly with the Mercedes M Class, the BMW X3 and the Volvo XC90. The Q5 was recently had undergone a facelift and it now comes with both diesel in petrol variants in a new design.
The Q5 is the base for which all other Audi SUVs are designed. The car is of decent size with a length of just under 5 metres. Even though it is an SUV it still shares the same family traits as all other Audi sedan vehicles. It still gets the three-dimensionally carved out bonnet tht is rounded off by the Audi Singleframe in stone grey, and it also has the redesigned angular front fog lights that fit in harmoniously with the overall image of the car. The clear lines define the classic SUV appeal, which gives the Q5 a balanced and elegant appearance and at the same time makes it look strong. The continuous shoulder-line and long bonnet visually stretch the car optically just like in the sedans, whilst also giving a dynamic feel to the design.
