The XK is a grand tourer that has been in production since 1996, but the second generation of the model was launched in 2006. In 2012 a super version of the car was launched and called the XKR-S. The model range includes a Coupe and a Cabriolet. The XJ competes with some of the world’s best cars such as the Porsche 911, Mercdes-Benz CLS-63 AMG Coupe, Audi R8, BMW M5 and the Aston Martin V8 Vatage.
The Jaguar XK was designed by Ian Callum, and he said that his inspiration was drawn from the British actress Kate Winslet’s curves. The car is definitely very curvy and looks aerodynamic. It is also not to small and not to big and measures just 4.7 metres in length and is 1.82 metres wide. The XK looks like your typical British sports car, its not too obvious, but its practical and beautiful at the same time. The front end doesn’t really have a grille but instead just uses a beautifully designed bumper and body kit along the whole car. The hood stretches out far from the mid-body and there are nice wheel arches and plenty of sills and cuts for air to move through. It’s a new age sports car with lots of character. Its also got low profile tyres and beautiful black alloy rims.
