The Maruit Suzuki Celerio was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi, and it was an instant hit. This is Maruti Suzuki’s first ever car in India to feature a manual auto transmission. The Celerio is a small hatchback and has its own platform. The Celerio replaced the A Star and the Wagon R and is now the only offering in that segment from Maruti. It comes with a 1.0 litre petrol engine and it will compete against the Hyundai i10, the Chevrolet Beat and Ford Figo.
The Celerio is a very good looking small hatchback. A lot of its deign implements are shared with the Maruti 800 so you know the car is compact and practical. The front end has got a short hood but a nicely sized front grille, and some nicely designed large headlights. The rear section has tail lights similar to the Swift and it also gets an integrated spoiler. The car is well under 4 metres and it also has a good ground clearance, plus it gets nice wheels.
