The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is Maruti Suzuki India’s answer to the growing demand of the MPV segment in the country. In the past, the Indian and Japanese car makers have had tremendous success with their people carriers such as the Maruti Suzuki Omni Van and the Eeco Van. The Ertiga is not a van, but a MPV vehicle designed to be a modern interpretation of a cross between a van and a sedan. In fact, the company themselves call’s the Ertiga a ‘Life Utility Vehicle’, and that is the purpose it serves to live out, by providing easy everyday transport for large families. There are many different variants and they either come with a 1.3 litre diesel engine or a 1.4 litre K series petrol engine. There is also an ABS variant.
This a well-designed vehicle and you can definitely make out the Japanese influence on the design. The car looks very aerodynamic for a low-cost cross over vehicle, which doesn’t give it that dull box shape, which Maruti Suzuki followed in the past. The car is just over 4 metres in length so it is of decent size. It also has a very good clearance of 185mm, this way you can take it easily on rough roads. The exterior design features nice stylish cluster lamps, in-built fog lamps, and well laid out tail lights as well. The wheels are also quite wide allowing for a smoother ride and good grip, and the higher variants feature alloy wheels.

I m a proud owner of this car for pas t 180 days and am still not bored of the high degree of internal seat adjustment possible to suit the vivid MPV status it offers and of course the frugality of the engine at 60-80 km/hr offering a mileage of 22 at these speeds and 19 at 80 plus speeds the only regret is the suspension could have been better as compared to similarly priced 85 bhp duster but i then would be deprived of those internal seat flexibility to meet all my 6 member family needs.

I asked a good dealer he told that petrol car price come down by 25 to 30 thousand in october. If you go for a diesel car with for 1 yr new Toyota Avanza coming in new April 2013. IF you are in hurry if you want a car in a month go to 10 different dealers for discounts and some benefits.

Buyers beware when I went to inquire Ertiga, I was promised with SONY sound system for VXi, but when I actually went to book 3 days later it was substituted with Nippon audio system, taking advantage of waiting for Ertiga Maruti has resorted to cheap stunts.
