Renault Duster User Reviews

Reviewed on Oct 22, 2013

Rated 3.0/5

Overall the duster is fun to drive and has a commanding height when in traffic. The 85bhp engine is a bit sluggish on initial pick; I guess it is due to Renault having set the gear ratios for a good fuel mileage. Once it picks up its powerful. The interiors are basic. The beige cloth seats tend to get dirty very fast. The stereo is simple to use and has good speakers. The area where you insert the USB stick is too close to the light stalks (light stick...on left hand side of the steering wheel), resulting in the driver hand hitting it; I guess it was designed for a left hand drive controls. Outside smell tends to come in slightly or a bit more (based on how strong the smell is outside) even if the fresh air vent is closed. The AC is comfortable; though the round knob which has positions to circulate the air is very crude in terms of rotating it...a bit hard and crude (funny sounds come from inside the dashboard). For rear passengers who tend to place their elbow on the arm rest results in the rear power window button getting pressed with the elbow ( the rear power window switch is fixed where the elbow rests on the arm rest); this is very irritating and a matter of concern which Renault needs to look into asap. The single horn is too weak to draw immediate attention. The bumper fog lights heat up and crack with the rain water splashing onto them. Renault needs to look at this too asap. The gear stick movement tends to make a shifting sound; a bit crude. The clutch is a bit hard and driver foot tends to get tired if over an hour in traffic. Still waiting for a service reminder and someone to pursue offering me extended warranty. These are my personal opinions of the vehicle; and are by no means stated in a complaining tone. An honest feedback which should be taken well by Renault.
